UST the manufacturer of the Pro Force V2, IROD, Pro Force 65, Pro Force XL and Harmon Tour Design shafts was founded in 1991. Since the company started business, UST has earned a spot as one of the leading graphite golf shaft suppliers to U.S. and international club manufacturers. With annual sales of more than 3 million graphite shafts supplying all the major manufacturers and all pro tours world wide.
Working in a strategic partnership, United
Sports Technologies has brought to the custom clubmaking market a new approach
for the custom club fitter. The concept was simple. If the pro’s are using
different and unique shaft designs to optimize their game, then why can’t the
serious golfer use the same product? The answer to this question is the UST
Tour Shop Program. Now you too can “Play What the Pro’s Play”.
UST Tour Shops consist of a network of advanced clubmakers who have direct
access to the same UST Tour shafts that are played on not only the PGA Tour, but
major professional golfing tours worldwide. These shops have a tendency to work
with the better golfer, and as a result, enjoy a direct benefit during the
fitting process by having the UST Tour Models at their disposal. Using the
latest in launch monitor technology combined with years of club fitting
experience, you will find that a UST Tour Shop is all about the “fit” and there
is no better way to optimize the “fit” than by combining the right shaft design
with a specific player profile. Because player profiles are so unique, it
requires the shaft designer to modify, and in some cases, create totally
different designs than the manufacturers mainstream product mix. As a whole, the
UST Tour models are heavier with lower torque properties with varying degrees of
tip stiffness, thus creating lower launch conditions. These attributes are often
preferred by stronger golfers who do not need assistance in getting the ball
airborne, but are searching for reduced spin and better control.
If you choose the option of having your shafts spine aligned, they will be
marked with a single line on a sticker toward the butt end of the shaft. This
line marks the neutral point of the shaft and should be aligned toward the
intended line of flight of your shot when you assemble your club.
